Alli Pelletreau: Nice idea! But that's a tough question, for me anyway...
The first thing that springs to mind is the year my parents gave me a bicycle for Christmas. It was really neat because they attached a long string to it and put it outside in the shed, with the other end attached to a card under the Christmas tree -- I had to follow the string around a bunch of obstacles and outside and around until I finally found it!

Penn Watson V (Papa Penn): My favorite Christmas gift would have to be the Swiss Army Knife given to me by my father, when I was 12 years old. A tradition in the Watson family, my great grandfather, grandpa, and my dad all carried the same model (The Executive). I remember this very simple gift made a lasting impression on me. I still have the knife to this day, and although it is worn, chipped and no longer shiny from years of regular use, I would not trade it for 100 new ones.
I did have to purchase a new knife the year, so I could carry on the tradition started many years ago. Merry Christmas to Young Penn, on your 12th Christmas. I hope you use your new knife responsibly, and in good health - until you are able to teach your son how to use his. Happy Christmas and Merry New Year to everyone!

Gail Arthurs: Hhhmmm, interesting question ... y'know, no one item stands out -- not as much as the memories I have from all Christmases as a child in Rustwood One -- our family's home. Now that I'm older -- and more so now that they've passed -- it's very special to remember all that Mom and Dad did to establish traditions, and to ensure the whole family was together to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. We truly were blessed -- Amen.

Tim Musial: Well, the births and first Christmases of both my children, Matilda in late September, and then Macallister in late December, just days prior to Christmas, stand out as momentous and memorable. To share their first Christmases with family members at such a special time of year made those holidays especially remarkable.
One Christmas that really stands out from my childhood is the one where I recieved a fantastic race car set that had not been fully developed by the company that sold it. That meant that it did not work properly, which then led to its return to the store. I was supposed to get another race car set, but times and money were tight, and I recieved something else instead. To this day, the race car set is a running joke amongst family members around holiday time.

Christie Koester Edholm: I think some of my favorite Christmas presents were books that came in a set. I remember getting two series of children's books when I was little, and they each came in their own boxes. These gifts combined 2 of my great loves: reading & organization
