Volunteer Floor Finishers Wanted

We're looking for interested and responsible volunteers to assist with finishing the main floor in the lobby and hallways of the historic Roycroft Pavilion (main lobby, coat room, ticket booth, stage door hallway, house entrance ramp, and hallway to the lavatories).

First order of business will be taping off and protecting baseboards and walls in all these areas with paper, then cleaning the floor. After auditions for HMS Pinafore are complete, we'll be painting the floor with two coats of floor lacquer/enamel. That last part will need some patient and fastidious folks, as we'll be applying a pattern to the floor, along with a Players logo.

Time frame is as follows:
Week of June 8-12: tape off and clean floors in main lobby, house entrance ramp, coat room, ticket booth, and hallway to lavatories. Also, tape off stage entrance hallway. Days/dates for these activities include Monday, June 8, Tuesday, June 9, and Wednesday, June 10, from 7:00 p.m. until about 10:00 p.m. Friday may be a possible work night, too, based on progress made the other two nights, or even during the weekend. A crew from 4 to 8 people would be ideal for these tasks.

Week of June 15-19:[/b} [b]H.M.S. Pinafore auditions June 16, 17, and 18. As the areas we'll be working on will be closed off to auditioners and show people, we'll look to finish cleaning the floor and begin the painting process this week. We're looking for a smaller crew for this process. Those who are detail-oriented, "neatniks" and comfortable with painting along floor boards are ideal candidates, as we'll be applying the base coats to the floor, then on to the detail work. A crew of about 4 to 5 would be ideal for this portion of the project.

Week of June 22-26: Finalize painting, including detail/edgework/pattern and logo painting, along with final sealing coat(s). A crew of about 4 to 5 would be ideal for this portion of the project.
